Motorcycles Take Centre Stage at Motors & Masterpieces
Two-wheeled lovers will be right at home during the inaugural Motors & Masterpieces, which is set to take over the Melbourne Showgrounds from November 22-24, 2024.

From the vintage to the more contemporary, over a dozen marques will be represented from all corners of the globe.

Visitors to the festival will be able to marvel at a pair of bikes from Fabrique Nationale which date back some 120 years, with the designs cutting edge for their day, through to 1980s Ducatis, including a 900SS and a 600SL Pantah.
ot
Other highlights include a pair of Benelli SEIs, prime examples of the world’s first production six-cylinder motorcycle.

For Indian lovers, a pair manufactured in 1924 and 1934 will stand out against the subsequent generations of technology on show.

Another highlight will be a Honda CBX Z 1000, which has ranked highly in previous Concours competitions and will be joined by a bespoke 1973 Honda café racer, plus a 1976 Kawazaki Z900.

Older-spec Ducatis, Laverdas, and a brilliant Moto Guzzi Falcone Sports 500 will well represent Italy.

Meanwhile, classics from the UK, such as Vincent, Triumph, Norton, and BSA, will be popular.

An oddity on show will be a Kawasaki Z900, which was recently built as a replica of the one ridden by Goose in the Mad Max movie, with the bike sitting amongst various four-wheeled friends in the ‘Wheels of the Silver Screen’ showcase.

Other special feature collections on show will include a celebration of 110 years of the famed Italian marque Maserati, plus a brilliant gathering of classic through to contemporary examples from Rolls-Royce and Bentley.

Also in the Melbourne Showgrounds, the event will feature four-wheeled classes representing Italy, the UK, Continental Europe, the USA, Japan, Australia, the Golden Age of Motoring, High Society from the 1930s and ‘40s, modern Supercars in Monaco Glitz, and motorsport favourites in Chequered Flag.

A range of specials will also be on show alongside a selection of barn find and preservation samples.

The event will also feature a significant presence from car clubs, with a wide array of displays from various marques and interest groups.

In addition to the array of assembled machinery, the event will promote the flair of the Australian automotive community’s best creative talent by collaborating with Lennox St. Gallery for the Art and Photography Competition, with $10,000 in prize money on the line across the two categories.

Also, the event will feature a series of panel discussions encompassing a range of topics pertinent to the classic car and motorcycle movement.

Elsewhere, the Motors & Masterpieces Charity Auction will partner with respected auction house Donington Auctions to raise funds for the event’s charity partner Challenge, supporting children and families living with cancer.
